So a few people have mentioned how this looks like the hg rx-78-2 revive. Close but not exactly. This is actually an upscaled ORIGINAL HGUC Rx 78 2 NON revive. The head, arms, knees, backpack and feet are the smoking gun. Fun thing about that is that the original HGUC Rx 78 2 was based on an early interpretation by Katoki (yes, even earlier than the MG Rx-78-2 Ver. Ka). So this is, in a very convoluted way, the MG Rx 78 2 Anime Ver ka.

The wolf, the grandma, and the hunter all in one design! I know it would have probably shot the price up even more, but I kind of wish the wolf armor parts could combine into a complete robot wolf companion of sorts like the MS General Cao Cao.

She's incredibly cute, would love to build her! ^_^

I think her un-armored form is a stylized sleeping gown because she's the grandma in the story, lol.

I like the gimmick tbh, and cutting with these feels smooth and satisfying. Even so, I am not personally an advocate of premium tools like this. You can use your run of the mill nipper and still do a great job, hell even a nail nipper is good enough. I simply got mine because it was the racing Miku version and I like the novelty of it.

what you could also try doing is putting something thin and metallic, preferably something that likes magnets, in the eyepatch and then glue a magnet behind the face plate.

I was on the fence about this kit but ended up ordering it anyway. After seeing it in this video I am so glad I did. Gonna look great on my shelf next to my MG Strike Noir.

My problem with this particular kit is it looks more bland in comparison to the RG. The RG have lots of panel lines and looks great in both Unicorn and NTD modes while this one, I feel like you need to scribe more panel lines to make it truly pop. And MGEX is just too MGExpensive for me. Maybe I should actually get an OVA ver maybe it'll change my mind.

I have built a number of plastic models over the years, just got back into gunpla as an adult (I was like 8 my first go) and while I agree that spray cans are absolutely less intimidating, I have a thought to bring up. I live in a remote northern community, and spray cans are flat out banned from shipping here. This is actually the case in many more urban settings too. Some municipalities will not sell to anyone who doesn't have an expressly constructive purpose for the paint, and if you get the wrong clerk, you just arent getting any. Same if you look certain ways, because the typical assumption is you'll use it for graffiti. As high as the learning curve can be, hand brushing is probably the most accessible option all around

I got the first batch back in November or so, with the orange parts painted gold and the clear effects in a rainbow prism coating (the other clear parts were gloss black). Tbh I was kind of confused at the time when they referred to the effect parts as a "first-release bonus" since the parts were going to be included in subsequent runs. Didn't realize they were referring to the special coating at the time.

To be honest, I think at this point every bootleg etc is not Bootleg or piracy anymore. It's like bandai has a "backdoor deal" with Chinese production. It's like bandai KNOWS that their original product is already too expensive but on the other hand, they can't lowered the price because labour and production cost at Japan. So, they make a deal with Chinese production and make "bootleg" with cheaper price. Because the bootleg are too precise, too similar. Even bootleg of witch series come out only one month after original. It's too suspicious

Im always interested when people say models have too much detail, or look to busy. Sometimes i get less is more, but with Mecha, or mechanical objects its a sum of its parts and seeing all details adds to the experience imho.

Does this build up the exact same way as the Revive version?

Those "LED's" look awefully like EL wire, which is AC powered, and the inverters ive used before let off an annoying high pitched whine, just fyi

genuine question: 1: Are 3rd party kits as good as bandai kits? 2: What type of 3rd party kits are there and know any names and where to find them cause i wanna take a look myself. 3: Is it Gundam or inspired from somewhere else? 4: By 3rd party we talking about made in China? 😂
